Antique 2-piece Large CUT GLASS PEDESTAL BOWL (American Brilliant) - $40 (Remsen NY)

This is a gorgeous antique 2-pc.
Cut Glass Bowl (the bowl itself and a separate base) from the American Brilliant Period of Leaded Crystal Cut Glass.
It dates from the late 1800's or very early 1900's, a period when American glassmakers were producing pieces with quality craftsmanship.
The glass is sharply cut and quite reflective and emits a pleasant ring when tapped.
It is a fairly large piece with a 9 inch diameter across the bowl.
It also measures 9 inches in total height when the bowl rests on the base.
Its substantial weight is yet another sign of its quality.
This piece has passed through my wife's family for many, many years, receiving relatively little use, so it appears to be still in beautiful condition.
It can certainly bring many more years of pleasure and enjoyment to another lover of fine glass.
