We are currently seeking Cannabis Cultivation Technicians to join our team at the Oneida Indian Nation's 50,000-square-foot cannabis grow facility in Verona, NY supporting cloning, which includes cutting, rooting, transplanting, watering, and feeding plants.
Cultivation techs will also conduct pest and disease control to make sure plants are always in prime condition.
They will ensure that correct care is given to the plants during their vegetative and flowering phase.
Cultivation techs will have the opportunity to help out in all areas of cultivation and cross-train in all applicable departments.
Individuals should possess a positive attitude and work well within a team environment.
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY MAY BE REQUIRED - The ideal candidate for this role must be available to work on weekends.
Responsibilities include:
Transplanting and defoliating
Scouting for disease or potential insects
Prepare room for harvest
Harvest and take down plants
Defoliate and break plants into smaller pieces
Hang plants on dry rack
Clean both dry and flower rooms in between harvest
Sweeping, mopping and all other required cleaning
Maintenance and cleaning of the plant tables
Maintenance of the plant pots
Reporting any issues to management to ensure a timely fix
Be aware of hazards in the workspace
Retain and understand department specific training
Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions
Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirements
Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements
Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor
Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment and machinery as directed by a lead or supervisor
Report and escalate safety & quality concerns
Any other tasks as assigned by Cultivation Manager or Leads
Additional Job Requirements:
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a diverse set of personalities and learning styles
Must be 21 years or older
Ability to work with a team
Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
