Essential Functions:
Live the company’s values by displaying our high standard characteristics and behaviors that lead to our collective success as outlined in our Values in Action
Makes and receives inbound and outbound calls to and from customers regarding order taking, credits and special orders
Educates and recommends customers on alternate products based on cost, availability, features, benefits, and value-added services
Practices good communication between departments and with all associates being approachable by having a positive attitude
Maintains and grows assigned accounts within Inside Sales territory
Supports District Sales Representative; review daily call sheet, special orders or credits that need to be submitted.
Reviews any out of stocks or transportation issues
Communicates to Purchasing department unexpected increases and decreases in demand for product
Provides resolution and response to internal and external customers by using problem solving skills in a timely and accurate manor
Remains current on product developments by attending sales meetings and vendor trainings
During downtime, learn about our wholesale product lines specifically but not limited to fresh meat, fresh seafood, and diary
Quarterly shadows purchasing, meat production and sales
Presents a professional image to internal/external customers and vendors with appropriate dress according to the work situation while maintaining good grooming and hygiene
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty
Qualifications:
1-2 years’ experience in Inside or Outside Sales.
High School Diploma or GED
Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent telephone etiquette, have a positive and helpful attitude with each new caller
Superior problem-solving skills and excellent math skills
Good listener and effective communicator
Ability to multi-task multiple internal computer systems
Highly motivated, self-starter and can execute department and company initiatives and goals
Salary Range: $18/hour - $20/hour based on experience
Preferred Skills:
Continued education with associates or bachelor’s degree
1-2 years of experience in the food service industry
1-2 years of call center experience
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
