SANY's Utica Academy of Science Elementary School is excited to announce the opening of an On-Call Substitute for the 2023-2024 academic year.
We are looking for a on-call substitute teacher willing to work in kindergarten through 5th grade.
The pay rate is $160 per day.
We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply! New York State Certification preferred

As an On-Call Substitute, you will:
Assist with preparation and instruction
Work closely with small groups of students and provide intervention
Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide events
Implement classroom policies and procedures
Lead students to and from specials/lunch
Effectively manage student behavior
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
What you need
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2-year degree in related field
Certification preferred but not required.
Certification in ELA and Math a plus
Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus
Prior teaching experience preferred and novice teachers encouraged to apply!
Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education
