About the AVP, Loan Workout & Recovery position: Consistent with the credit union mission of providing our members the right financial services to live life, dream big and achieve financial success, the AVP, Loan Workout & Recovery you will provide oversight and guidance to business partners as it relates to collections and recovery operations and strategies.
AVP, Loan Workout and Recovery Roles and Responsibilities: Execute and contribute to strategies for the Collection and Recovery teams to meet and sustain performance to achieve the company's portfolio targets.
Effectively lead Collection and Recovery departments reporting and provide management detailed data that identifies overall delinquency, delinquency by product type, trending, risk, collector efficiency, loan participation analysis, etc.
Recovery outcomes reported with trending on vendor effectiveness, and overall outcomes.
Reports analysis and strategy resolution for operational gaps or opportunities.
Using a full range of accepted industry best practices, initiates a program to collect past due accounts on all credit union products by using our internal and external collections systems and following appropriate policies and procedures.
Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs are met and or exceeded.
Identify issues contributing to changes in delinquency percentages.
Work with the business to ensure complete understanding of risk requirements and expectations as they relate to Collection and Recovery business processes.
Perform employee performance evaluations and reviews for all direct reports.
Identify staffing issues recruiting, performance evaluations, training and corrective action as needed.
Support the Recovery and Collection departments through goal setting, positive feedback and on-going coaching to ensure activities are performed in accordance with policy and expectations.
Implement productivity standards to increase teams’ productivity.
Perform targeted risk reviews and continuous monitoring activities to include participation in loan reviews and sharing findings with Underwriting.
Support business partners by providing expert advice and influencing changes to processes, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk.
Perform annual compliance and operational risk assessments to determine inherent risk and control effectiveness of assigned processes within Collections and recovery functions.
