*Youth Work Experience (SWEEP) Site Supervisor* This is a Part-time (Temporary) position working with local youth to help build life and career skills to help them grow and succeed! * $20.
00 per hour * 4-hour shifts * 16 hours per week * Monday - Thursday afternoons (3-7pm) * Background check required The SWEEP Site Supervisor role involves overseeing a group of 5 to 8 youth in a structured work experience education program focused on green collar occupations.
This program, spanning six weeks during the winter and spring, offers paid work and enrichment opportunities with an emphasis on landscaping, building maintenance, and community beautification, primarily at the Utica Municipal Housing Authority (People First) and other locations in Utica.
*Responsibilities of the Site Supervisor include (but not limited to): * * ensuring the safety and supervision of participating youth * fostering positive relationships * communicating effectively with youth and other stakeholders * managing program equipment and supplies * planning and executing program activities * maintaining program records * addressing discipline concerns promptly * attending meetings and training sessions as required * adhering to program and safety standards * providing training to youth on maintenance and landscaping tasks * evaluating participant performance weekly *Qualified candidates should possess*: * experience with youth supervision * leadership skills * a commitment to assisting individuals out of poverty * experience in landscaping, maintenance, or carpentry * familiarity with report writing and data tracking * proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google applications * _*A high school diploma or equivalent and valid drivers license are required.
*_ _*Working conditions may include outdoor work during late afternoons and early evenings, physical demands such as lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds, and the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies.
