e.
DOH guidelines), infection control/infection prevention, organizational goals, and quality assurance tracking of programs Nurse Educator, RN develops, plans, executes, evaluates, and maintains documentation regarding all educational programs including the new hire orientation program which encompasses acquiring and maintaining educational material Nurse Educator, RN Plans and delivers continuing education programs including in-service programs to meet educational needs and compliance/requirements for staff (staff development) Nurse Educator, RN provides and/or assists with all emergency training Nurse Educator, RN Recommends revisions on policies, procedures, processes, etc.
including changes in resident care based on current clinical knowledge and policies and procedures Nurse Educator, RN maintains clinical skills and competence and administers direct nursing care as necessary Provides supplemental nursing supervision as needed.
Requirements: Graduate of an approved school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Licensed & registered in good standing in New York State as a Registered Nurse, RN Work experience as Nurse Educator, RN (SNF experienced highly preferred) Ability to make both independent & collaborative decisions that are necessary for providing quality education and nursing care Thorough knowledge of nursing and infection control practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to SNF Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, & dependable Possess a spirit of cooperation & enthusiasm to create/maintain a team oriented and comfortable atmosphere conducive to learning, development, and quality patient care.
