Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometric Technician to join our team.
PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE! As an Optometric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the optometrist in various aspects of eye examinations and procedures.

Duties:
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
- Obtain patient medical history and document relevant information
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
- Assist with contact lens fittings, including insertion, removal, and instruction on proper care
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results in electronic health records (EHR) system
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Provide support to the optometrist during examinations and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE!
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
