*Recruiting Social Workers* *Join the Secure Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Team* Secure Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (STARC), a NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, is currently recruiting Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) for their secure residential centers in Marcy and Ogdensburg, NY.
STARC provides evidence-based treatment in a secure and therapeutic environment consistent with best practices in the field of sex offense-specific treatment.
The goal of STARC is to help individuals reduce their risk to sexually reoffend, develop their ability to make healthy choices, and prepare them to live safely in their communities when they are appropriate for release.
*Social Workers at STARC:* · Provide therapeutic and/or psychoeducational programming for patients · Work collaboratively within a treatment team · Co-facilitate supportive and directive group therapy · Perform intake assessments of patients · Develop individualized treatment plans for program participants and, in consultation with other clinical staff, review service plans to reflect progress and update programming needs · Perform appropriate assessment of risk, crisis intervention, and referrals in response to mental health crises *Join the STARC Team and contribute to a workforce dedicated to public service – we offer the excellent benefits including:* * NYS medical, dental, and vision insurance * Excellent opportunities for advancement and professional growth * Tuition Assistance Programs available * Generous paid time off including vacation, holidays, personal, & sick leave · NYS Retirement package including defined-benefit pension and deferred-compensation plans *Minimum Qualifications* · LMSW 1 o Licensed and currently registered as a LMSW in New York · LMSW 2 o Licensed and currently registered as a LMSW in New York and 1 year of post-licensure social work experience; or o Licensed and currently registered as a LCSW in New York The Mission of the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is to promote the mental health of all New Yorkers, with a focus on providing hope and supporting recovery for adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances.
