Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Health Information Management, oversees the daily operation of the Release of Information team, ensuring appropriate coverage for phone center/front desk, request distribution, completion, prioritization, and assists in problem solving.
Maintains knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations as they relate to the release of protected health information, including the HIPAA Rules, Cure’s Act , and NYS Public Health Laws.
The ROI Supervisor shall assume supervising responsibility in the absence of the Director to ensure proper procedures are followed.
They will perform interviews, assists in the hiring, training, annual reviews, and disciplinary processes as needed, including coaching and counseling sessions.
Monitors workflow by performing quality audits and reports status to Director, ensuring team follows policies and procedures consistently.
