*Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Skilled Nursing Facility *
Do you want to make an Impact? Enjoy working with the Geriatric population? Do you enjoy training others? We are seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team to provide medical care and training *within a skilled nursing facility*.
This position will be a combination of *managing, training/onboarding *other NPs/PAs, as well as *providing care within a facility* during the weeks when not onboarding anyone.
Must be willing to work/travel to facilities across the *Greater Utica/Rome region.

*Responsibilities:*
Perform training to Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in a Nursing home setting.
Perform routine check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues.
Conduct examinations on acute changes in condition.
Communicate with resident families or appointed representative regarding resident status.
Manage and prescribe pharmaceuticals.
Collaborate with providers, DON/ADON, nursing staff, support staff, and administration with a goal of improved patient care.
Consult and utilize specialty services as required to provide comprehensive care to residents.
*Requirements:*
* Medical degree from accredited program.
* Board certified in field of practice.
* Active NY license to practice in field.
* Self-motivated.
* Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
* Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
* In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Respect for patient’s confidentiality.
* Compassionate and approachable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $165,000.
00 - $170,000.
