Here's why you should consider joining our team: *Job Summary:* As a Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Griffiss Institute, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set, including social media management, graphic design, storytelling, content creation, PowerPoint presentations, white paper development, and the ability to craft compelling press releases.
Technical experience in defense technology is a plus.
*Responsibilities to include but not limited to:* 1.
Integrated Marketing Campaigns: · Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote Griffiss Institute's programs, events, and initiatives.
· Create and curate engaging content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and the institute's website.
2.
Social Media Management: · Manage and grow Griffiss Institute's presence on social media platforms, creating engaging content and fostering community engagement.
Monitor social media analytics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
3.
Graphic Design and Visual Content: · Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and other visual elements for marketing materials.
· Maintain brand consistency across all marketing collateral, ensuring a professional and cohesive visual identity.
4.
Storytelling and Content Creation: · Craft compelling narratives and stories that effectively communicate Griffiss Institute and its programs impact and contributions to defense technology.
· Collaborate with subject matter experts to create content for white papers, case studies, and other technical documents.
5.
Communication Materials: · Develop and design PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use, including presentations for workshops, symposiums, and meetings.
· Write and edit press releases, articles, and other communication materials for distribution to media outlets and stakeholders.
*Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of marketing and communication materials.
· Proficient in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
· Familiarity with defense technology or technical industries is a plus.
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator position is a full-time role, operating on yearly program contracts/funding cycles.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant and dynamic environment at Griffiss Institute.
The position is initially structured on a yearly basis with the potential for contract renewal based on performance and the availability of additional projects.
