Lumber Sales Specialist

*JOB SUMMARY:* Sell lumber and building materials and provide excellent service to customers.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Service customers both in-person and by phone.
Review customers’ needs and preferences.
Demonstrate products, explain features, and provide samples based on customer requirements.
Quote prices.
Obtain merchandise requested by customers; order from vendors when required.
Complete purchase order forms.

Stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise.
Assemble items as needed.
Place price tags and signs on items.
Assist in maintaining the department displays.
*QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:* * High school diploma or equivalent required.
* * Previous customer service experience required * Lumber and building materials knowledge preferred * Computer experience required.

* Excellent public relations and verbal communication skills.
* Reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
* Ability to work various hours (up to 50 per week), including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
