Brief Description of Duties:
SUNY Morrisville is seeking an Offshore Wind Outreach Coordinator to support our Offshore Wind Technician Training program within the Renewable Energy Training Center.
As the Offshore Wind Outreach Coordinator, this person will work directly with the renewable energy/RETC faculty and coordinate on- and off-campus outreach, education, and recruiting events.
This is a grant-funded initiative, and the position is full time temporary (approximately 18 months, depending on start date).
Primary Responsibilities:
Liaise with other training providers, k-12 schools, industry partners, workforce development partners, and campus admissions, marketing, and registrar's office.
Conduct career awareness sessions, requiring a familiarity with renewable energy/offshore wind industry.
The Outreach Coordinator will develop and maintain social media presence for the RETC.
The position will require regular, local travel, principally in NY State.
The position will require in-person office presence (with the flexibility for hybrid operations).
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Some evidence of interest and knowledge in renewable energy.
3+ years of administrative project, program or event planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge/experience in social media marketing and digital marketing.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Proficient in MS Office, Outlook/Calendar, Teams/Zoom conferencing.
Organized and high attention to detail.
