Estimation / Demolition / Sitework experience and knowledge preferred.

Our firm is a NYS Certified WBE, NYS Asbestos license, own the majority of our own trucks and equipment to perform most work in house.
Will be required to build relationships with current and potential clients, perform estimates, write proposals, submit bids, meet deadlines, prompt phone correspondence, emails and drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for sitework, earthwork and building demolition projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project scope and identify potential risks or challenges.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline project scope, materials, labor costs, and timelines.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed.
- Collaborate with the project management team to review and analyze project progress and make adjustments to estimates as necessary.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, sitework and building demolition estimating principles, practices, and techniques.
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Solid understanding of construction project management principles.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
